The Origin Of Life

Well it was more a dig at the Indians who have blasted stuff into space despite having hundreds of millions living in poverty.

He was being sensible. Those are two inventions that have come about as a direct result of the space race.

I can understand anyone having a dig at India under the circumstances but, with regard to space rocks, etc,   we are thinking more along the lines  of providing people with clean water,

schools and hospitals etc,  rather than  kitchen foil and oven gloves, useful as they may be.  We realise that the advancement of space knowledge has been useful to humanity but,

there  are many things closer to our earths crust which make a bigger real difference to poor peoples lives and need spreading more widely than they are today.

The people who already have these things will maybe be inclined to scoff but,  if you walk a mile in someone else's shoes,  your ideas of what's important could well change.

Sadly here on earth those in power don't want the poor better off, or have more of an equal standing.

Looking up and admiring the stars is all some of us have

If you're happy with that,  then that's fine but we are not all the same and some of us care more about our planet and the life upon it.
