You're confused

I'm talking about the law not morals

Yes they have low morals and are despicable people

I'm sure that they are ashamed for what they did and will regret it for a very long time

But did they commit a crime?

Is making a sick joke now a crime?

It seems it is

There was a story a few years ago about a guy in the UK who went to prison for teaching his dog how to do a Hitler salute

Bad taste yes but a crime?

He was fined.

And that would be the proportionate sentence here. Talk of prison is ridiculous. The fact he pleaded guilty will be used in mitigation.

So now in 2023 making an offensive joke is now a crime?

Yes it was deplorable and not funny

But he thought he was being offensive and funny

That's why they were laughing

These GREY laws on speech will eventually be applied to everything

Maybe one day to something that is important to you 🙄

It depends which Government we have in place. I don't want a Government that Jack Boots over it's citizens. I don't want a namby pamby Government either. I hope common sense prevails over the UK, but unfortunately too many Brits seem happy to adopt and import nonsense thinking and extremes from the US. Thankfully, Jack Booting supporters are a small minority of the UK population. There's 100m of them in the US. And it shows.

It's only gonna get worse with a labour government but the Tories have to go

They need 4 years to sit in a corner to think about what they've done

You never know we might get a labour party that wants to be in the center of the left and right

But I doubt they'll be able to keep the hard left banshees quiet for long

Your vision is so limited you can't see how this impacts us all

Governments will take away freedom of speech and expression because it's for "the greater good" because people like you said it was ok......under certain circumstances

Comedians have made jokes about the Holocaust, abortion, trans people, gay people, Jews, Black people, dwarfs and gingers

You want to ban it all?

Maybe we should stop making movies about any subject that offends people

If thats the case then Schindlers List would never have been made

If a Comedian makes some people laugh telling jokes about anything under the Sun, in an arena, to the paying public, then so be it. One assumes the audience know what they're going to see and hear. They pay to see it. I'd ban the same show or subject on TV and in the public domain.

It's why Telegram and YouTube etc house this sort of offensive, inciteful content. It appeals to unbalanced morons in my opinion. Unfortunately, youngsters can access these domains far too easily.

Would you welcome Adolf type rallies across the UK?

Free speech at its worst?

Yep. A Conservative/Republican/Fascist person probably would have your opinion. I'm not one of them. I'm one of the other 80% of the UK population.

We spell center properly in Britain by the way.

C-E-N-T-R-E

You're spending too much time on American Republican sites.

And it shows.

P.S. A Labour politician who is to the Right of the Party, is a Tory. End of.

Right doesn't exist in a Socialist, Labour agenda. (Or shouldn't)

Starmer out.

Yes....if they're not inciting violence then they should be able to say whatever they like

Whenever people talk about banning speech or groups they always attack the right wing

They never point the finger at hard left groups and extremists

They always scream about Nazis but never at the soclialists, communists Marxists who are committing crimes and disruption everyday in the UK

I haven't seen any far right groups saying all.l vegans should be killed

I've not seen them gluing themselves to roads or defacing buildings and priceless art works
