francypants
Lots of supermarket own brands are excellent but I haven't found anything that equals Lurpak butter.

*Wallace*
Asda baked beans are about 28p and as good as any with a little bit of Tom purée and a good grind of black pepper.

Hubbard's beans from Sainsbury's about the same price, although when I first spotted them last year they were only 22p. Like you say, add a bit of black pepper, spot on. Heinz beans in Sainsbury's now are over £1 for the same size can. Also started to stock up on Sainsbury's own brand soups at 75p a can. Not paying around £1.40 for tomato soup from Heinz or more for the organic version. And don't get me started on the price of Baxters soup.
