Playing Devil's Advocate here,   what gave/gives     the right of the U.N. or the Americans and British to carve up a country's land and give it to someone else?

Baby Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Him and his mam and dad were Jewish if we believe the Bible , So the Jews were there before the UN ,the UK or any one gave them the land it seems

Were the Palestinians compensated?   People must have been uprooted and their housing appropriated.

Jews have had historical and religious connections to the Land of Israel for thousands of years, which would probably explain why they thought it was an appropriate place for the Jews around Europe to settle after WW2.

Seems sensible to me.

Correct.

At the time just after WW2 most of the land was desert.  Israel has transformed the land and created agriculture on desert land.  It has been an agriculture revolution which is the envy of the World.  The Jews are hard workers which throughout history has attracted envy a prejudicial behaviour.

Apparently history only started in the late 40s.

Exactly.

Do people think that if thousands of Muslims or Arabs were given that land after WW2 there would have been such carnage?

Of course not, it's just plain hatred of Jews.

Well that's the whole problem.

Depends on who you believe, historically you would have to say Israel's but more recent Palestine.

You would think that the protests would be about getting rid of Hamas, but no.

🙄

That area has always been populated by both Jews and Arabs.

Over many years a lot of Jews left and settled all over the world, but very large populations in Germany, Poland & Russia.

When Hitler started decimating them, and Russia followed on, those who survived had to look elsewhere until WW2 ended and then we, The UN,  and US  decided.

to put them back to where they originated and then trouble brewed between the Israeli's and the Palestinians who considered their land had been stolen.

Israel since then, has kept taking more and more Palestinian land.

In justifying the forthcoming ethnic cleansing / possible genocide of ordinary Palestinians, the Israeli president has said:

"It is an entire nation out there that is responsible. It's not true this rhetoric about civilians not aware, not involved. It's absolutely not true.

"They could have risen up, they could have fought against that evil regime which took over Gaza in a coup 'd état."

But following that logic, Jewish Germans who didn't fight or rise up against the Nazi Party in the 1920s and 1930s were morally responsible for the atrocities committed by the Nazis?

By the same logic, ALL Russians are responsible for the war crimes in Ukraine.

I hope they send Mossad all around the world to assassinate all the top islamic terrorists and supporters of Hamas like they did after the Munich murders

Maybe take out a few in the UK too

I could think of a few names
