Yellow snow warning for South Yorkshire tonight...

I was brought up to avoid yellow snow.

Certainly has a nutty taste to it the yellow snow.

A couple of years ago, some Sheffield United fans gave me a free pint of warm beer during a cold snap, that had a similar taste to the yellow snow, oddly

When I was a lad we had bad weather during the winter months..

Snow, Ice, Heavy rain, Winds, Floods the full monty..

People got on with their lives, we expected it and dealt with it...

Why is the weather dramatized today with weather warnings?

It seems that now we have a weekly named storm, currently "Storm Gerrit"

I've lost count of the number of named storms that have hit our shores this year, and it's only December...

Daft in'it........

Its about control

If people are scared of dodgy weather

Look at the puddles on the roads, the huge puddles that catch BMWs, the drains are blocked and water collects, so it looks worse than it is

HOwever, the only time you see a BMW driver use his indicators is when they get stuck in a puddle

Upwell St. Bridge has always flooded, but it never bothered us, the old cars used to just plough through it.

Not today though, a BMW driver would get stuck, not only that, it would make World Wide news.

This would make people in places like China and the good old USA scared to go out...

no

not true - I ......sort of asked for one..... but it was forcefully declined due to licencing regulations.....  (I felt bad after for asking)

The only "After Bird" in "Padders Bar" is when I chase "Flapper" after he's worked out the combination number of the lock on his cage...
