Qpootlefive
Just that really, would like people's honest opinions and experiences, preferably people that actually live there. Any areas better than others, which are terrible etc?

Druggies hanging around shops. Alcoholics hanging around shops. What I assume are gang related behaviours, usually linked to the above mentioned drug dealers... few months back watched them have a mini turf war out our bedroom window and then one of them tried to run two girls over with their car, then got out and beat the girls,,, also seen a guy kick a woman in the head then get in his car and drive off leaving the girl on the floor with her mates screaming down the phone for an ambulance. Qpootlefive
Yeah I don't know anyone in the specific area unfortunately. Have been for a look and seemed very quiet to be fair. I don't believe it's all terrible like some say, areas easily get a bad reputation and it sticks unfortunately. Newfield Green, which is on the very edge of Gleadless Valley has a very bad reputation but I occasionally shop on there and see more disturbances in town centre but like I said only shop there occasionally and have spoken to people who won't venture there. Unfortunately it appears Sheffield council using Gleadless Valley as a dumping ground, clean up one estate and take it to another. Apparently quite difficult for people who have been on waiting list years to be allocated houses. I live at the other end of Gleadless Valley. I see things that shouldn't be happening but on the whole quiet, very nice people and very little trouble. Lots of green spaces, short walk to parks and woodland areas.
