Police have released images of a man with a military-style assault rifle in a bowling alley and say they are looking for "armed and dangerous" Robert Card.

The 40-year-old, with 20 years military service, worked as an army firearms instructor and recently spent time at a mental health facility after hearing voices, according to an internal police notice.

Police officers, many armed with rifles, have taken up positions across the city, and roads have been shut as the manhunt continues.

We generally follow America, maybe a decade later, but we dont have guns.

We do seem to be getting more deaths via knives and dogs?

They train a man to be aggressive and kill people without mercy.

 

Then when he's done that to their satisfaction, release him back into a community where he no longer fits, without sufficient help and support, and expect him to deal with a crazy world he no longer understands. Alone...

 

Is it a surprise these things happen?

Does it though? Most of the gun violence takes place in the states with the strictest gun laws. If you outlawed guns completely then criminals and psychopaths would still get their hands on them, as there's already more guns than people in the US. All you'd be doing is disarming law-abiding citizens who wouldn't be able to defend themselves. If this incident had happened in Texas then a member of the public would have dropped the guy as soon as he started firing.

Not true. When the racist right-winger went on a shooting spree in a shopping mall in Allen, Texas in May of this year he killed eight and injured seven before a police officer shot and killed him.
