Gbnews And The Poppy Apeal

Recommended Posts

Why do the gammons get in a blind rage about poppy sales, or lack thereof, or people being stopped from selling poppies?

Just something Ive noticed generally.

No doubt the old Morrisons story will be doing the rounds again.

These are the people that kneel for the death of a known  violent drug user, but are happy for people to disrespect those who fought for our freedom because "free speech".

The  Royal British Legion were finding it difficult to recruit poppy sellers in Brighton.

Patrick Christy of GBnews decided to start a Just Giving site to raise the £10,000 normal collected in Brighton.

Between yesterday and today over £150,000 has been raised for the RBL.

Well done GBnews !

Well done to GB News viewers as well who will have donated much of the money.

Possibly felt the need to do a little damage control after they decided to employ Johnson?

A poor contribution.

I take comfort in the fact that deep down they know right from wrong, it's just unfortunate that they too cowardly to step out from their political narrative.

it's a Dickens Reference.

to a character in Nicholas Nickleby : Mr Gregsbury.

(he is accused of being 'a Gammon' - and to be fair, he is : loud, opiniated, using claims of patriotism to deflect criticism, etc. it's all very recognisable)
