Aleks Z
Hi everyone, I am a trainee journalist at the University of Sheffield and I am looking for stories in the north of Sheffield (also north-east, north-west, and generally north of the A61 ringroad). Please comment if you have/know of a potential story. This will be initially for uni-wide circulation, but I will be pitching to local news outlets too. Thanks! Vrsaljko
Go and hang around Page Hall for a bit. Especially as it's close to Bonfire Night. Edited November 2, 2023 by Vrsaljko 1
Irene Swaine
A man who killed his common law wife and encased her head in a block of concrete was yesterday sentenced to life imprisonment. A jury at Sheffield crown court took three hours to find Kenneth Peatfield, aged 50, guilty of murdering Susan Craven. During the three-week trial the jury heard that Mrs Craven, aged 54, disappeared on March 5 last year. Two days later Peatfield took his 17-year-old lover, Faith Warner, to the home he shared with Mrs Craven.

Where the hell are this girl's parents?

And it happened in Burncross, you can't get much further north than that in Sheffield.
The_DADDY
I'm not sure about North sheffield (geography ain't my thing) but why not look into the case of Teresa Shepherd and Peter Turner?
