Irene Swaine
Does anyone recall the story of a school boy being decapitated by a tram at Malin Bridge and his head rolling down Holme Lane?

A jury at Sheffield crown court took three hours to find Kenneth Peatfield, aged 50, guilty of murdering Susan Craven. During the three-week trial the jury heard that Mrs Craven, aged 54, disappeared on March 5 last year. Two days later Peatfield took his 17-year-old lover, Faith Warner, to the home he shared with Mrs Craven. Think Jack craven was involved but saying nowt owt else I like living don't want to end up in a scrapyard ...
ebonyeyes
Have you tried good, old-fashioned journalism- literally walking the streets and talking to people, in shops, cafés, etc.? Can be hit and miss, but there's always the chance of finding a good story, even if it’s light. Plus you can make contacts this way. Often what journalists think is a good story and what other people think is a good story.. do many times it’s the chance remark people make when they're telling you something else that's a gem. An Internet search of the geographical areas you're interested in can throw up questions you might want to look for information or data on. The possibilities are endless.
