Christmas Trees. Is It Too Early?

Yes. Definitely. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early but I have a predicament. 

Both kids want to put the tree up.

It's a new one this year and they've been shopping for baubles (yearly tradition) to put on the new tree. They bought tinsel too and lights despite it being a pre lit tree 🙄

Their argument is that they've seen houses with lights and trees up already.

Yeah, it's a weak argument I know so anyway, here's me possible responses. 

1. Yes that would be lovely. 

2. No, it's too early.

3. You're adopted, ask your real parent. 

 

So which shall it be?

1, 2, or 3?

Anyone in charge of their own home can do just as they please.

Some people love Christmas so much and all kids obviously do so why ration something so enjoyable.

I would please the kids and make it as special as possible.

We have a limited number of years to enjoy that Xmas magic before life and age intervene so go for it.

How old are these "kids"?

 

It's way too early - we've only just put the clocks back.

 

We used to trim up when school broke up for the Xmas holiday.

Personal opinion.  Most definitely not until December.

Early November means that a ridiculous sixth of the year is "Christmas Time". Which is clearly bovine excrement.

I love Christmas but whatever the commercial capitalists may say (and I'm "right of centre") it does NOT start in early November  🤮
