All Jobs Will Be Replaced By Artificial Intelligence

How does it get up a ladder?

Same design fault as a Dalek.

A robot erects scaffolding and another robotic lifting unit places it in position. Then, as it works away a metallic sounding voice repeats

" Exterminate, Exterminate, All Brickies we will Exterminate "

And it doesn't stop for tea breaks, or holidays or lean over the scaffolding whistling and making lewd suggestions to passing females. 😲 🤣

Not sure about AI, but if it does happen , who controls AI. What if AI starts to contol itself.

AI does control itself, that's part of the problem people are worried about. It learns exponentially from it's mistakes; what works and what doesn't. It becomes more and more competent in what it does very quickly, continually improving and refining its performance, until it outclasses human beings by a mile. It will also be able to design and build the next generation of computers / robots, so becoming more and more powerful.

Because much of this it is unprecedented, no one knows for sure where this will lead.

Presumably there will be something as simple as a 'kill switch'?

Many years ago I read a short story about all the computer scientists in the world working together to connect every computer in existence in order to use it to resolve humanities problems.

The day arrived when the work was complete and the power switch was thrown to activate it.

The Chief Scientist who had come up with the idea and supervised its construction was given the honour of asking the first question.

"  Is there a God?"  asked the scientist.

A huge explosion took place as a thunderbolt hit the power switch welding it in place, and the answer came.

" There is NOW! "
