Sheffield Wednesday Fc V Millwall Fc

This game shone a light on all the deficiencies in the squad, for half an hour the game was scrappy but there looked little between the sides, Wednesday squandered the best chance of the half after 30 mins (Musaba) and from the restart Millwall went up the other end and won a corner and went 1up due to slack defending and from there it just went downhill.

Wednesday lost control of the centre, Bannan and Byers were too easily pushed off the ball and defensively they looked very vunerable, defenders that are comfortable in the air but far less so on the deck, and the flaws were ruthlessly exploited.

The pack was shuffled after the break and Wednesday did have opportunities, but no killer instinct, as has been the case from day one, and Millwall just continued in the same vein.

Too many average players, distinct lack of quality in the new players, retained players that should have been allowed to leave, bugger sentiment, same mistakes every year for the last 7 years, I saw people leave at HT and by the 72nd minute 2 thirds had gone home in disgust.

The most dangerous set of fans in all divisions came to hillsborough, and they saw their team win 4-0.

Your right Rogets,

Had the Owls won this game, the result would have been havoc and mayhem from the Millwall supporters.

So in a way the Owls did Sheffield proud..

How did Cadamarteri play? He had a good run out, did he look a threat at all, obviously not easy when virtually the whole team were pants anyway.

Thought he did well, came within a whisker of a debut goal, worked hard and caused them problems, stays in the squad for me
