Quite possibly.

I can see Axe with a SumUp machine.

You never know what is around the corner. If the Tory party fail to win the next general election then the likelihood is there will be many more beggars on the street with SumUp machines. By the grace of god we all have been lucky to be blessed with a Tory government.

In Edinburgh 3 or 4 years ago around christmas time and there were nearly as many beggars as there were tourists. Most of the beggars had mobile phones and were quite obviously not living on the streets.Begging is now a job with prospects especially when claiming government benefits as well!I no longer give to these vermin and I do not donate to so called charities whose directors get paid more than senior government officials.Charity has to begin at home!!!

That's strange, because rough sleeping has gone up massively under the Tories:

There’s been a 74% increase in rough sleeping since Tories took power | UK News | Metro News

I suppose that's a plus for you - to see someone else having a more miserable life than you.

I once came out of the City Hall after a concert. This woman came towards me begging. After I had waved her away, she followed me shouting “ Do you know what it’s like to be homeless? She was followed by her “ minder” My friends told her in no uncertain terms to get lost. If she was homeless she would have been carrying a sleeping bag wouldn’t she ?

Easy to believe, you can spot the fakers because they're too clean and well groomed.

Me and the kids were fooled by one of these fakers. Little un was really upset and I was damn fuming.

I haven't given to another bigger since.

You forgot to mention how the foodbanks have flourished under the Tories.
