That, I believe is the highest ever and it's not acceptable. How many of those 7.7 million people are unable to work because of their ailment and was something announced in the autumn statement to get the list down? Probably not that many when considering the overall number. Here's another question, how many of those 7.7m are waiting for treatment due to their own negligence, stupidity, risk taking, lifestyle choices, substance abuse, refusal to follow health advice? ..... wonder how many of them would be a lot more careful and a lot more accepting of a healthier lifestyle if they had to directly pay full price of their own treatment. How many of those 7.7 million were drawn here by the idea of free health care, amongst other things? Very few given that NHS heath care isn't free for anyone drawn here which I'm assuming is referring to those pesky immigrants

According to this link, 20% say that the NHS backlog is affecting their work. That could be interpreted as a major issue. https://www.peoplemanagement.co.uk/article/1808715/one-million-employees-work-impacted-nhs-waiting-lists-official-data-shows

Let's not forget they're all doctors and nurses who never get ill or grow old and put in more than they take out, lol.

I have colleagues right now whose work has been affected. One recovering from a broken leg another, one recovering from stomach illnesses. Neither of them are able to attend the office and can't travel so are doing alternative work from home. That doesn't mean they are not working.
