Look forward to it  -  it really is on it's way to you  -  in a  small way under Labour,   but in a big way way when the Tories get back in.

You will have old age,  declining health and declining care,   to cope with,   all at the same time.

That's without the mass migration that climate change will bring.

I'm sure you'll love it.

Is it?  Funny that, I keep hearing this cry year in year out. In fact I've been hearing the same cry year in year out for decades.

Oh yes, those evil torys planning and plotting to kill off the NHS..... very strange that when they won the election in 2010 health funding was 133 billion and now in 2023 increased to nearly 186 billion.   With its additional top ups from the Treasury during the two covid years, it went over 200 billion.

Out of that, over 71 billion a year is spent on staffing costs before even so much as a bed pan is purchased with those staffing numbers also  increasing and currently stand as about 1.5 million.  Since the Tories took over in 2010 that being an average increase in staff numbers between 20 to 38% dependant on the job role and grades.

Oh and some people might like to be aware that according to some (albeit broad brush) number crunching from The Kings Fund, the median wait time between referral to treatment in 2007 was 14.3 weeks - in 2021 it was reduced to 11.6. similarly, the percentage of patients waiting more than 1 year was 13.8 in 2007 and by 2021 reduced to 8.8.

For a party allegedly so determined to destroy the national health service, they are going to funny way about it.

You must be joking.  those stats are testament to the Tories betrayal of our NHS and everything else along with it.

From the moment the Tories took power,  they started on a vicious cycle of cuts through the "Austerity" program.

They sacked doctors & nurses,  got rid of beds, closed wards and even quite a few hospitals and clinics. They did the same with the police service and sacked 20,000 coppers.

The fire services suffered a similar fate  with each station losing an appliance, each appliance losing a man and then some stations were closed and others merged.

The following years proved the stupidity of these moves which culminated in a rising number of patients waiting for treatment in the NHS and, as waiting lists grew,  along came Covid.

Much of the present NHS work is now being done privately which is costing much more and the NHS itself makes massive use of Agency staff because they can't cope.

This is now costing colossal amounts of money and we find doctors being paid £3,000 for one shift.  This is a manic attempt by the Tories, to stop the whole lot from falling apart.

Building maintenance had been ignored and that too, is going to cost massive amounts to put right and we have patients and schoolchildren being treated in and working in environments which are a disgrace for the modern age.  The care system, which has been slowly dismantled over the years, cannot take the load and despite promises from successive PM's,  those promised new systems are NOT being put in place so we get bed blocking.  Talk again about the Tory success story when the next GE looms over us and lets have a honest look at the track record.

They can't repair it in a year so that's going going to be a big thumbs down  all over again.   Spending billions  AND WASTING BILLIONS MORE does not show how well this incompetent lot have looked after the NHS, but proves how their ideas have decimated this country and everything in it.

The money now being pumped in,  is only provided as a manic attempt by the Tories, to stop the whole lot from falling apart. Building maintenance had been ignored and that too, is going to cost massive amounts.
