City Centre Developments

I guess that The Grapes is a tad more civilised than it was in the 60’s. I made a point of visiting most of the pubs with reputations for violence, I never had any problems in any of them, nor did I seek any.

More luxury flats... it's beyond a joke. As society becomes more civilised, we should be moving away from housing people in flats. It's not as though these inner city areas don't already have an abundance of them. The retail space will be vegan cafes and coffee shops with names spelt incorrectly for kitch value. No one is denying that the Kelham Island developments have been a success but it doesn't mean everywhere has to be the same.

On Trippet Lane, ground floor retail spaces, then 8 floors of student studio accommodation.

If you click on the link, you should get to a list of documents, then there's a column on the RH side of the page called "View". Click on the symbol in the view column and it should open the pdf of that document. There's always a site plan for planning applications and usually building plans and elevations.

Since when was there there a connection between people living in flats and whether they are civilised.

More talking out of your posterior.

Just because someone has a two bedroomed semi with a nice garden and driveway does not automatically mean they are civilised.  Plenty of low life, serial workshy and druggies live in houses love.  On the other hand plenty of well educated, polite, classy professionals are happily living in flats.

Jeez it really must be something living on Planet Irene where everyone instantly wants, can, afford and has sufficient room to all be living in their 3 bed mock Tudor homes with a white slimline telephone, bidet, waste disposal and room for a pony.

However the rest of us live in the real world.

You haven’t got a white slimline telephone?  Poor thing.
