Years ago we used to see both hares and rabbits hung in shop windows for sale. Mum used to cook rabbit stew in the ‘40s and ‘50s and it was very tasty. It was a pre war thing and probably an essential food source during the war. You don’t see it nowadays; we’re too soft. I see and hear shooting parties all the time but I think they’re mainly after game birds. echo.
cressida
I remember other animals being hung up at the butchers, I couldn't go in so waited until my mother came out and we could get to Woolies.

Though if someone was racist and bigoted, then they're likely to be quite a toxic person, and you have to draw the line somewhere. I agree with you on that score. I could never get on with a racist or bigot no matter what similarities we bore. I believe in fair do's for everybody inasmuch as it's reasonable and I don't want a close relationship with anyone who thinks differently.
spilldig
Yes, because you should be able to discuss it openly and still respect each other and if it still causes trouble then just both agree to get on with life and don't talk about that subject again.

It is not your own personal choice to remain celibate. If the rumours are true there are plans to make a film in the Sheffield area called the 75 year old virgin based on your life story. Hope it is as successful as the Full Monty.
