Wow, that's a big gamble Blackburn have taken there. Astounded we were in with a chance at those prices. Still, great to see DC is still willing to spend some of his "OWN" money on players as opposed to a banks loan money and having the club in hock.

He’s NOT spending though, is he.

He hasn’t bought a single player yet in this window.

(Btw, if Wednesday bid over £2m as per one of your previous posts states, and Blackburn tabled almost $4m as your last post states, then you were never in with a chance really, were you).

Mind you, there’s still time for that £30,000 per week striker to get signed by tomorrow.

Here’s an interesting view on Wednesdays transfer window and Chansiris alleged willingness to spend.

Danny Rohl, considering the recent jobs he’s had, and the list of contacts he must have, must SURELY know of 2 or 3 players he would have liked to have brought in.

Surely he knows of a few players that would add the quality needed to this squad. Even if they are aspiring up & coming academy players on the continent..specifically in Germany? He MUST know of some.

So why only 2 signings this window, and both of them being only loans.

It doesn’t add up.

Chansiri ready to invest heavy. Danny with his book of contacts and list of targets.

And yet……

You only have to go back 12 months…Chansiri only allowed DM to bring in Aden Flint to replace Mark McGuinness …it cost Wednesday automatic promotion….Ipswich backed their manager & look at them now ….

But no doubt Bassett will be along later telling everyone how we’ve got it wrong about Chansiri …🙄

Same for both clubs Sheridan.

Both owners have fallen desperately short in investing in their squads over the last year.

Blades have simply not bought anywhere near enough quality to compete in the Premier League. Fact.

Wednesday messed it up last January, as you say, then brought in a load of bargain basement guff in the summer, and here again in the January window the leopard appears to wearing his same spots. Three transfer windows that history will remember as terrible failures, due to either a reluctance, or an inability to spend.

Neither of our owners have the financial resources to fund their clubs suitably in the leagues in which they currently sit.

Bleak times.

$4M = over £3M. January, historically, is a bad month for buying long term contracted players in the position we find ourselves in.There's just not that much business and this year seems to be worse than others.  Maybe OK if you have big money to spend. Fact is, we're in the bargain basement.

Is the £3M  being offered just funds to keep us in the league or will it still be available at the end of the season wherever we find ourselves.

It’s a fantasy bid, which materialised on the same day as the early bird season tickets.

Just a coincidence, of course.
