Co2 Levels

Recommended Posts

11/12/23 the Sheffield council reported a higher percentage of electric vehicles  in the low emission zones around Sheffield ,the two points they missed out on in this report was if you have less diesel and petrol vehicles  around the city centre the percentage of electric vehicles will be higher, ,they also failed to report the most important fact and that is the overall air pollution around the city centre has not gone down one iota

Like I've said before climate change and health are just stealth taxes

It's pure and simple

The CAZ isn't about co2, its mainly atmospheric particulate matter (or getting some more money)

I was trying to find some historical data on NOx and  atmospheric particulate matter for Sheffield centre, it is annoying to read the council spinning on about how they have made over £3m and reduced the number of older diesels in the city centre without showing how much they have actually reduced pollution by, which is what it is really supposed to be all about.

Although practical effort to improve the air quality is a good thing this is just daft, as said before like pollution just stops travelling at the edge of the CAZ from outside or the diesel trains emissions don't count.

CO2 in the atmosphere is currently 0.04%

Humans are responsible for just 11% of that 0.04%

pre-industrial levels of CO2 were about 280ppm, it's now over 420 and climbing.

that's an increase of 140

as a percentage increase, that's exactly 50%

but what has this got to do with The Sheffield CAZ?

There have long been calls, since the first inception of CAZ/ULEZ that councils must publish LIVE data for independent analysis.

Every operator of CAZ/ULEZ schemes has been vehemently against this.
