Superstores On Their Way Out?

Morissons want to pull their finger out and sort out some basics.

Why is every sodding shop you go in laid out differently?  Properly does my head in and takes ages to find stuff.

It's a marketing technique to get you looking at other stuff you may buy...

100% this, it's why they rearrange stuff constantly.

I used to work retail for over 16 years and we got issued new "planograms" every few months, same stock, just arranged differently or moved aisles around.

I can only speak for the one on Meadowhead and it's definitely gone down hill, especially the restaurant.

I'm not talking about moving a few things around, the entire store layout is different from place to place, it's annoying.

Is the booze down the end, is it at the front near the veg, where's the freezers, where's the milk?

Can't they just follow some kind of regular pattern?

But, whilst you're looking for the things you want, you might see other things you like along the way.  It's all done psychologically to get you to buy more than you went in for.  Ask anyone who's worked in retail.  I always look aloft at the direction signs and nowt in between!  👍😉
