That's true.

I'm not a Royalist but what's the point of dumping them to get a politician like Trump, Johnson or Braverman,  in their place anyway.

Despite being anti-royalist,  I actually prefer them to the politicians I can see around the corridors of power.

Nothing in the King's speech that a sane person could disagree with, except perhaps the person saying it, who it could be argued is a touch hypocrititical in that he uses private jets to get round the world. However which of us isn't guilty of a bit of hypocrisy to some degree? How many of us over-ate this Christmas in a world that has starving people in it, or spent money on something frivolous or unnecessary that could have gone to the poor? 

 

We might do what we can, but we're all human with human failings. We can only try harder next time.

Give Charlie a break. His heart's in the right place, and he's in a position to make a real difference. IMO We're lucky to have him.
