echo beach Posted January 8 Share Posted January 8 (edited) I think it’s motivation is along the lines of ‘if I fill this box with clutter then it will be good insulation and camouflage when I build my nest in there! echo. We have field mice in the house particularly when harvesting takes place and we’ve also had the odd shrew. They are quite vicious and try to gnaw their way out of the traps.
