Alextopman
Have you ever wondered how players are transferred and does money actually change hands. bassett one
i always thought the highest scorer was derek dooley was it 49 goals in one season, sure he was our highest scorer or was that 1 season, steve downs a one match wonder scored at hillsbrough on 1st apperance ,not much you can say about him ,jack witham he was great liverpool wanted him, yeah the greatest was derek although i never saw him ,my dad said although could not be done now said in one game he picked up a pass in the centre of the field ran forward 2 players from the oppo went down so did a defender and him the goalie and a full back all on the floor ,ref gave goal good days. my favourite was hirst and witham ,but fantham i used to go to his hairdressers on west street, great times
abbeyedges
John Fantham's barbers was on Division Street (next door I think to the Sheffield Transport lost property office). I think he had a shop in Cambridge Arcade as well.
