I well recall during ‘The Troubles’ Irish folk taking a lot of stick, I knew many Irish (being the grandson of one) during this and couldn’t do hatred, because of a few, I’m sure that this also applies to the majority of U.K. Muslims.

Conversely I know a lot of Jewish folk but no Muslims, I’ve never felt threatened by Jews, however bombings conducted in the U.K. by terrorists of the Muslim faith doesn’t endear them to me. I believe that Jews were residents of Palestine over 3000 years ago, as against Muslims who didn’t embrace Islam until circa 600 BC, so possession of the area is open to argument.

No no no!!!

History began in 1948.

Did it really.  You're the only one who thinks so.

Most of the Jews chose to leave the middle east of their own volition and spread around the world.

I wonder if you and Crooksey are going to tell the Yanks that America belongs to the Native Indians.  That'll go down well.

Similarly,   Australia and New Zealand too.

You believe in anything except a fair deal, with guaranteed freedom and safety for EVERYONE,  no matter what race, religion, colour etc.

I'm glad to see that this time there's no immediate rejection of the idea that women are being raped and sexually abused.  No demands to see the official evidence, to wait for the investigations and the reports, to see the videos.

Of course, I should really check to see what Owen Jones has to say, given that he was so vocal in his apparent rape denial last year.  There's always the possibility that he'll be an abhorrent equal opportunities clown.

When all this is over I hope anyone who has committed any type of sexual violence on either side is made to stand trial and receive the highest punishment once convicted…

I understand the point you are making and would suggest that if you did get to know a few Muslims you would realise that not all Muslims are a threat.

My Muslim pal is a threat when I give his jack Russell a treat when he tells me he's had enough!!

I think it’s because we tend to hear a fair bit about the Muslim religion in one way or another in our day to day lives.  I have no interest in any religion but respect others to follow theirs if they wish.  I have known a few people of the Christian faith who I’ve felt were very judgmental.  I’m sure not all Christians are like that but it didn’t give me a positive impression of  Christianity.  Likewise I’ve known Muslims who haven’t created a favourable impression for various reasons.  I’ve also met Muslims who are good people.  I think the issue is that there are good and bad in all faiths but what we shouldn’t do is either negatively stereotype followers of religions or for followers of religions to feel all members of their faith beyond criticism and take any criticism personally.

Sorry I realise you did but was rushing out so posted in a hurry. There are good and bad in all cultures and I myself take people as I find them. I also realise that some muslims don’t  do themselves any favours with the way they go off.
