It's already been pointed out that the organisers of the event were quite happy to allow a male to enter the competition, and the little bit I've read about it, the competition is about the enjoyment and the taking part.

One of the other contestants was happy for a male to enter the competition. If she's happy, why aren't you? Why can't you just live and let live?

For many on here that comment (basically about people's freedoms and how they want to live their own lives) only applies to certain things though doesn't it ?

Smoking ban for instance ?

I guess so, for numerous reasons - principally to do with health matters.

I believe in traditional values.  Having a bloke has a flower Queen is not a traditional value.   It was a big mistake to legalise homosexuality in 1967. Since then traditional values and morals have slowly been eradicated which has resulted in the nonsense which happens in 2024.  It is time to take a step back and reintroduce the death sentence and return to the status quo at the beginning of the 1960's.

Listen we've been through this at least 10 times.

There will be plenty of traditional values which you ignore on a daily basis because it is convenient for you to do so, so you only say you're a supporter of 'traditional' Christian values, because they align with your prejudices towards homosexuality. That makes you a hypocrite.

You can hark back to the bad old days, and wish for the return to the beginning of the 1960s. It isn't going to happen.

There's a good reason why along with homosexuality being decriminalised, and lots of other important social changes were happening which had a positive impact on people's lives.

If you and your sort had a single good argument why those changes shouldn't have happened then you would've won the argument. But you didn't. You lost the argument.

So unfortunately for you Axe, you'll just have to be content to harken back to the stiff morals of the 1950s, while not caring a jot that the person you support for coming back to the Tory Party, the disgraced ex Prime Minister Boris Johnson, had the morals of an alley cat.

If our country still had the same morals, respect and traditional values at the beginning of the 1960's there would have been no need for Boris Johnson to become prime minister in order to protect democracy.  Enough said.
