SheffieldForum
In April the SY Mayor will be in charge of the Supertram. Likewise, after the next election it will be likely that the Mayor will take over the role of Police and Crime Commissioner. The mayor’s office is also trying to take control of the abysmal bus services in the region too. …amongst other things, of course. With the greatest respect, that assumes the mayor is capable of running Supertram, the PCC's non-job, and the bus services, which has been pointed out elsewhere, he is guilty of making worse, but apart from that, he's doing a great job. 😂

However his best trick was to make the idiots of Sheffield believe that it's the evil operators that have done this Think this pre-dates the current mayor. https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/people/sheffield-bus-shelter-removed-leaving-bus-passengers-to-wait-for-unreliable-service-in-the-rain-3492640 - and bus services were SYPTE then - only coming under the mayor last year. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Yorkshire_Passenger_Transport_Executive

If he was intent on improving facilities for bus users then he'd have stopped the program of removing them, instead they're disappearing at a faster rate.
