In the 60s when I was a young child I used to buy these.  I loved the taste and smell  ( by that time they no longer contained chloroform ! )

Or Army & Navy sweets and Jakeman’s Throat & Chest

If it carries on for another couple of weeks, or the symptoms get worse I will do!

Someone on This Morning asked a GP what to do as she had the same symptoms,  the GP suggested she asks her GP for a chest x-ray to see if there was any bacteria on phlegm ( you take a phlegm sample into the surgery in a container of sorts)

I wonder when they stopped putting chloroform and ether into Victory V’s?  What a shame.  They still taste nice though.

And I’ve always liked Imps.

There's a similar one in a blue glass bottle,  can't recall the name,  Vicks comes in a white, green & orange container,

To be honest I haven't used it for years, back then it had different packaging from what you describe but I can't remember. I definately made a difference for a while when rubbed into the chest!

Vicks does help, it helps with the cough ,sore throat and congestion, worked for me, think I’m finally getting over it after 17 days !
