vipguy
Hello I am currently buying a new home and have been asked to provide the source of funds under the "Money Laundering Regulations". As the house was sold in 2020 I have lost the details of who was the lawyers or estate agents dealing with it. Does anyone know how I can find this information? Thank you for any help! Longcol
Try thehouseshop.com and put in your old address / postcode. Did it for a road I used to live in and it came up with what appeared to be the original ad and the name of the estate agent.

I get stuck in an endless loop of page errors on that site 🤷♂️

Do you mean you need to prove where the funds you are buying the new house with came from? Bank account records should be sufficient.

Best way: go direct to HMLR. They will have these details (except Estate Agents'). Start at https://www.gov.uk/search-property-information-land-registry (Beware: there are copycat websites that look like the real thing!)
tlangdon12
Did you mean to write "How Do I Find Out Who Bought My House?" You don't need to provide details of who bought your house, or the estate agent who sold it. Normally a bank account statement showing payment from your firm of solicitors is all that is needed.
