Irene Swaine
Actress Rosalind Knight lived in Sheffield in her later years. She was terifficly funny in Gimme Gimme Gimme as former lady of the night, Beryl and as horrible grandma in Friday Night Dinner. Actor Danny Szam is also from Sheffield, the Bents Green area I believe. He has appeared in many screen productions and is also rather dishy! Actress Mary Millar who played the lustful Rose in Keeping Up Appearances grew up in Shirecliffe. She spoke out of character very well, thanks to RP training at stage school but had a bit of Yorkshire twang in her role as Rose.

Irene Swaine
Ryan Hawley who played Robert Sugden in Emmerdale was also from Sheffield. I have met him in person, he's quite shy.

Irene Swaine
Actress Susan Cookson also lives in Sheffield and she was/is in Emmerdale. And how could we forget Daniel Walker, who I believe lives in Ranmoor.

Who would you nominate for the best Sheffielder? I’m fairly sure that John Burkhill wouldn’t object to his name being spelt incorrectly. But, if we are doing a list of the finest Sheffielders, it would be polite to get it right.

Should've known not to trust their spelling. 🤣😬 Sorry John (I actually know John so I’m sure he’ll forgive me). 1 2 Sheffield Forum | The Sheffield Guide | The Sheffield Shop
Ghozer
Alex Turner above Helen Sharman? and remove David Blunkett, he deserves zero recognition.... he's part of the reason I left school with nothing!!
