Why Don't People Use The Sheffield Connect Bus?

Electric versions of the current mini buses would be more than enough I'd say, I don't think I've had a close to full bus yet doing them. Unless they're trying to future proof the service incase it does become busier but it needs to be advertised much better for that to happen.

The current buses were meant to be all-electric. I seem to remember that was one of the service promises but reneged stating that they weren't ready. IIRC they were supposed to be AD Enviro200EVs.

First trialled electric buses on the hilly routes in Sheffield but months later, no orders have been placed. It seems that diesel is king.

That you know of.

In any case the trials were at the manufacturer's request, with a view to enticing future orders. Having been on both the variants trialled I would hope that First dissuade themselves from purchasing the YuTong, it felt as cheap as it looked.
