Guest
It's strange that our law insists that telling the truth in court is an absolute must and we lie at our peril. Why does this seem not to apply to executives, staff and legal staff in cases like that of the Post office inquiry and the Covid inquiry ? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-68146054 It would seem that those who give evidence in relation to anything government connected, are free to lie anytime they please without fear of visiting HM Prions. Those who gave evidence to support the Post Office prosecutions were following what they had been told by others. That is not perjury.

I cannot understand how so many were found guity. There must be a large bias that people, including the judges, to support the establishment. People have gone bankrupt and tried to commit suicide, was that not highlighted by the defence team?

The problem was because the Post Office carried out their own prosecutions and their evidence was treated the same as evidence gathered by the police. That is not perjury. You are correct and I was unaware of that fact until now. To commit perjury, YOU MUST KNOW THAT YOU ARE LYING. That's an easy get out then and explains why everyone knows nothing and can remember nothing these days.

No suprises there. Would you be surprised to find that nobody told Cameron so he didn't know ? Presumably, everyone who has given evidence in these trials didn't know anything either. It seem then, that we have, THE WRONG PEOPLE GIVING EVIDENCE. Probably NOT by accident. Edited February 20 by Organgrinder
HeHasRisen
I suspect nothing can, or will, be done, until the enquiry is done.
