The Old Horns in Bradfield is rather good. Good service, good drinks & good views. 

 

The Castle in Bradway is atrocious, big nasty looking dogs running loose in the carpark (I believe the owners'), they weren't serving food. A hostile and "can't be bothered attitude" from the staff and when we called before to see if they did vegetarian food, we was told they do salmon!! Perhaps it's for the best that the kitchen is unreliable if their idea of vegetarian is salmon!

The Castle is a lovely pub. It does brilliant food. The staff are great and Jack is a diamond of an owner.

We wouldn't return. Only if they got bought out by Ember Inns or something like that would we go back. First impressions are important in hospitality.

Mind you, if Ember Inns are your benchmark, I’m guessing that you are trolling, or have a very limited experience of the hospitality industry.
