Hi can anyone help me please. Can anyone tell me how to get sticky plastic adhesive off my cupboard doors without damaging doors? I've tried hair dryer but it's bubbled the vanner I've put nail varnish on & left it to soak, any suggestions would be appreciated thanks.

More info needed. Where is the glue from? What surface is it stuck onto?

I’d be tempted to try a nylon scourer and washing up liquid to start with. Be gentle. Maybe add some scouring powder or paste.

If that doesn’t work, try a hairdryer and a scraper of some sort. Warm the glue and scrape it off bit by bit.

If you stick any harsher solvents in, you are as likely to dissolve the surface as the glue. I wouldn’t go there if I were you. You’d be better off re-covering the doors.

This stuff is very effective, but I'd only use a tiny amount, and only if the wood is sealed with varnish:

I'd try methylated spirit.  Try a little bit first to avoid potential damage. Having said that I've used it on and off for years on jobs like this and it's always been OK.

Exactly this.
