There’s a difference between a report in a paper and a question in the chamber which would, along with its response, be formally entered into Hansard.

I’m not sure on this. It has been allowed in the past.

What we have now is largely a bunch of middle-aged men discussing an issue surrounding her, right in front of her, without her being given an opportunity to ask her own question. It’s a really bad look.

She apparently bobbed more than 40 times to indicate she had a question and get the speaker’s attention too.

Can she put an official complaint in  ?

A good point. The speaker might have thought she was too emotionally involved  in the topic of the day to ask a question today and he felt he had a duty of care.

Nice to see a white old man looking after a vulnerable black lady.

Its the natural order of things.

\sarcasm.

A poor contribution. The age and colour of the speaker are irrelevant.

I have an open mind and can see a good reason why the speaker should have allowed Diane Abbott to ask a question and why he chose not to let her ask a question.

Which will surprise nobody.

Why do you think he ignored her then?

He says he couldn’t call her because he had to call Tories instead, to even up the questions from each party.

Its a rubbish reason though. I think that most people would have wanted to hear her thoughts.

Don’t ask him questions, he doesn’t like it .

It’s you that can’t answer questions. Stop projecting your failings onto others,

How are you getting on with that picture and comment, by the way?

He purposely ignored her imo maybe for her own good in case she said something controversial.
