So used the new app today to buy my ticket.  Pretty straightforward but it only has day, week, monthly and Family tickets.  Does anyone know if there are plans to add further tickets on there?  I travel into town with my kids so they can get the train to school.  It would be good if I could buy tickets for us all at the same time but I can't put in their £1 single fare as an option...

Your children will be able to purchase their £1 fare from the conductor. Simply present the pass and hand over the £1 coin.

On social media they said they plan to add other ticket types to the app down the line.

I am perfectly aware of that, and we hardly have cash anymore so I'm not getting a bag of pounds to do that. I was just meaning it would be easier if there were more fares available and not just the day week month ones. Comes across a bit patronising your response seeing as I stated we get the tram regularly...

If you don't carry money, expect to be inconvenienced.

The kids or I can buy tickets from the conductor that's not the point. It would be easier to buy them on the app before we travel.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the relative cost of processing low-value payments.

Doubt it you can still pay with credit card if parents with them. Also not so long ago that they increased the price by 25%
