I was walkin' to the isles from Gretna Green to Skye

Tho' my story has an element of farce

Calendar says it's the first day of July

But here I am with snow up to my knees.

Another from Connelly regarding the Scottish anthem, 'Flower of Scotland" & the verse,

And stood against him
Proud edward's army,
And sent him homeward
Tae think again.

"Oh, aye.  We did that aright.  Sent him homeward tae have a good think.  And that's whit'  he did.  He thought long & hard & came back a few years later & kicked the ******g ***t oot'ay us."  😂

Saw something on news other night and it reminded me of this thread .  The story was about Billy Connolly . Proper national treasure .

I prefer his brother Brian Conley. :hihi:

Hope she doesn't sing in Portugal, its a lovely country and doesn't deserve the agony of listening to her dulcit tones.
