staninoodle Posted April 7 Share Posted April 7 After 4 really abject performances on the bounce I didnt go to QPR with much hope, wed been static and lifeless, but from the start Wednesday looked like theyd had raw meat for lunch and fought for every ball, a huge improvement. Rangers had plenty of pots at goal but never really troubled Beadles goal and the Owls had the 2 best chances of the half, Windass seemingly cleared Povedas shot off the line? and Gassama was inches away beating the keeper but just the wrong side of his back stick. The improvement continued after the break as QPR continued to sit quite deep, it was Gassama that broke the deadlock with a tricky peice of skill inside their area and a large slice of look as the defenders clearance cannoned into the net off him, Rangers best effort came 5 minutes later, you could see their overload develop inside the box and a goal looked inevitable, but another slice of luck went Wednesdays way as the shot came back off the bar, The Owls sealed the points in stoppage time Gassama providing the ball thats was tucked away by sub Musaba. A deserved win for a vastly improved Wednesday who need to carry the performance and commitment into the next 5 games.
