When I was at school the naughty kids were shouted at by teachers and even scutched round the back of the head bent over and beaten with a gym slipper or made to stick their hands out and got them caned now they are poor little lambs with special needs ADHD or summat and you have to treat them like fragile little darlings.

It's an amazing coincidence that ADHD was only discovered after corporal punishment was abolished.

But does that teach children that the way to sort your problems out, is to hit them on the head?

Why does there always have to be something wrong with people?

What ever happened to people just being horrible, naughty and mean?

Being a horrible individual has so many benefits these days, always lots of folk pampering you to try and pacify you, lots of excuses to justify your behaviour and the jails are full.

Lovely Jubbly.

I keep seeing media news articles abour autism in females, who look like ordinary females to me, even talk and dress normally; not related to their education. But perhaps related to every condition being given a name.

Discipline in schools is no more.

Currently dealing with this with my daughter and another child, who bullying her.

The child in question regularly berates the teachers and calls them inferior, infidels etc but when I demanded that the school deal with it by way of expulsion they refused.

I've wrote to the LA stating that if the school isn't made to deal with the problem child properly I will be forced to take legal action.

Have they mentioned your child moving to another school yet  ?

Not yet but I don't think given my previous meetings with the head that they'd dare.

It's really getting to me, My daughter used to be bubbly, outgoing & loads of friends and now she just wants to be alone, she's 7.

I'm getting to the point that it's getting harder not to take things into my own hands and go lay them on this kid's dad. It's clearly learned behaviour from home.
