It probably won't worry them - don't forget, they are a protected species, so the rules probably won't be applied to them.

Probably....

I remember when they banned patients in psychiatric units smoking, I thought that was so cruel.

Well pubs would suffer, as would brewers, distillery’s, vintners, off licences, supermarkets, restaurants and bars, not to mention the tax-man, IMHO it would be political suicide for any party stupid enough to endorse such a move. :loopy:

Even though I quit smoking fairly recently I'm minded to agree with this sentiment.

There is something really ugly about the state banning things that people enjoy. MPs as well - I know a fair few MPs are smokers.....I wonder how they feel about it?

When the smoking ban in enclosed public spaces was first introduced in 2007 the only exceptions were HM prisons and houses of parliament bars.

And am I right in thinking one of those locations is now included in the banned areas?

It's really disgraceful that MPs made only themselves and people who committed serious enough crimes to receive custodial sentence exempt from the legislation.

I repeat, where does it say alcohol to be phased out?

Post one this thread, haven’t seen it elsewhere, to be fair to the poster,  it’s more of  a ‘what if’ ?
