I never mentioned a urinal, just the toilet (meaning toilet bowl)

When I was nursing, I was on the men’s ward. All were bedridden after having operations. We had to give them a bed bath every morning. On pulling back the bedclothes  I was often met with the men’s penises standing upright in the air.! I always threw a cold flannel over it, then pulled the curtains closed round the bed, and went back later to check if the patient had “calmed down “ .

I once saw  my doctor and had to have an unexpected examination. I had no underwear on that day. She didn't get a flash other than my bum, but she never forgot. A few years later (and I can't remember the reason) she said "why you not wear underwear?
