Strange how these high paid , high qualified executives can’t sort out the roads in Sheffield.

@Baron99 said it above, but the current custodians of SCC are bound by the contracts of previous regimes over several years. There’s a limit to their influence in certain things until they can manipulate (or break) the contracts.

What’s your alternative?

Break a contract with potentially £millions in penalties?

The current leadership of the council are the best we’ve had in probably all our lifetimes — and that will come to fruition in future years.

Bit these things take time and patience.

If you can’t see the benefits of Heart of the City II, Future High Streets, Grey to Green, etc, etc, then that’s a shame.

At HUGE expense.

And some of those councils that did have gone bankrupt.

Next answer?

Not true.  AMEY have ended up paying back money to local authorities.  Birmingham City Council had a similar agreement to SCC.

usual cartel SF members have spoken

we should pay the executives more for less work and proceed to pay more council tax for less services

these wackos have a vested interest in protecting these high level executive/councillors i'm sure

Maybe we should all take a step back and realise asking the public what they want deserves the 100k salaries oh wait they don't listen to the people

oh and of cause they deserve £100k plus because they have a 1.5billion budget & manage thousands of staff all the while implementing p*** poor decisions & ideas to the city of Sheffield

they deserve £100k+ for managing staff this the most absurd thing you've stated yet

And obviously had reasonable contractual grounds for doing so.

Do Sheffield?

Please tell me one decision a councillor has to make that deserves a £100k+ salary?

There's no a single councillor who earns anywhere near that from their role as an elected representative.
