They probably view your generation as the ones who got all the wealth through the luck of being born at the right time, and who tell yourselves it was all because of your hard work. And they might have a point.

Will Gen Z not benefit from massive inheritance from houses now being worth 3 times more than they did 20 years ago and predicted to go even higher?

What did Gen Z do to deserve that apart from luck?

Some will, of course. Not those whose parents don't own property or who have used equity release to keep themselves going. When they're middle aged they can then look down on Gen D or whatever, maybe.

With doomsday and potential of nuclear Armageddon we have a shelter on our back garden with corrogated iron as the roof

We have enough tins of beans to last 6 weeks, plus a tin opener, plus 6 weeks worth of bottled water.

After 6 weeks we will drive to the local supermarket and and restock

If you’ve got that many beans remember a porta potty.

You can go outside for 2 minutes per day which gives enough time to do what you need to do

Genz and house prices, everything is pro rata

I bought my first house for £24,000 and I was only earning £5 per hour, so work that out over 40 hours per week.

It was a struggle for the current crop of middle aged people.

We weren't drinking lattes, no, we were off to the pub supping pints
