Are they anticipating future trouble from all the immigrants? Fair enough pedestrian zones but bollards completely blocking ambulance routes? why? I never wanted or needed this ? What the hell has it got to do with you? There's over 584,000 people living in the Sheffield boundary, nearly 23,500 living within the city centre itself. Perhaps some of those people DO want and need this.

Not to mention it was consulted on a few years ago and the consensus was that people DID want to see these changes. Yes, there’s a bit of disturbance whilst things are being built, but that’s natural for such a scaled project. Displays and events were held in 2019 at the Millennium Galleries and the Moor Market, and it was followed by online engagement. All were promoted via press releases, radio, social media and more. You may have missed it, but it definitely happened. I suggest keeping a close eye on the Council’s social networks and news outlets if you don’t want to miss future consultations — I tend to see (and engage with) quite a lot of them by just casually browsing every so often. See, this isnt good enough for most people on here, they will want people going round knocking on every door, a letter to every house for every decision that has to be made, adverts during Coronation Street. And then the same people will moan about rhe cost of doing all that. You cant win.
