Parking at Robin Hood airport?

Taking a trip from Robin Hood airport soon (just a long weekend)

 

Anyone have any experience of parking there?

 

If so is the airport's own car park economical or is it best to use an off-site company?

I don't think you will find an airport in the land where you can use "parking" and "economical" in the same sentence.

I parked there last year - left my car for a week. Managed to get parked about 100 yards from the front door. No problems with the car.

 

I'll be doing the same when I go away in a few weeks time.

I remember years ago when East Midlands used to be like that, no need to book, parked just out side the terminus, pay and display.

 

If you tried that now you would get a shock, it won’t be long before Doncaster is the same.

You're right on that one, Ken. It's getting to the stage where the parking is dearer than the flights.

I fly occasionally from East Midlands, I park up for a few nights there, and whilst it isn't as good as Donny, I still manage to get parked close to the terminal (a few hundred yards walk), and I never book in advance - I just pay on the way out from Medium stay

The short and medium stay parks are convenient, but if you are going for a week or more parking is off site and as to be pre-booked as I found out at 5am one morning last year.
