Delbow
I was maybe expecting this to be a bit of exaggeration and pearl-clutching by the S11ers, but the threat of violence from a group of teenagers in Endcliffe Park does sound bad. A shame that such a great community asset is being spoiled by this bunch. Anyone got any further info on it they'd like to share? The police statement says they're 'aware of those involved' but doesn't clarify whether this refers to the victims or perpetrators.

Delbow
Cheers Al, that does sound really horrible for that young woman. Hopefully the police will actually do something meaningful.
Al Bundy
It's been happening for years. I used to work opposite on Rutland road and when the fun fair was erected in the park it always attracted trouble makers in the evening. Back then ( mid- late nineties) the problem was young Asian lads, not too sure about now. It's a lovely park obviously now ruined by feral parasites.
SheffieldForum
It has been going on a few months now. People around lower Banner Cross and Endcliffe Park have been pretty much living in fear from daily random attacks. Rumours yesterday that a vigilante mob formed and the police removed the family, but that’s rumour. This is nothing to do with the funfair or Asians?! This is a family that moved to the area and have terrorised people for months. Endcliffe Park has been and remains a lovely place, it is just being slightly ruined by these people currently. 2 1 Sheffield Forum | The Sheffield Guide | The Sheffield Shop

I never said it was! I was just stating that this park has had issues before, and I witnessed it as I worked opposite on Rustlings road ( not Rutland) a while back. 1

Yes, that seems very much the case. Generally a hassle-free place to visit, and even in crap Britain I would expect the police to put a stop to it at some point, especially as people in the area actually matter to the powers that be. I'm not going to encourage vigilantism by posted their location; and would advise everyone else stick by the same rule. 3
