Just been on social media and just came across this from the commemorations:

Jesus H. - If looks could kill....

I've not seen this in any of the newspapers; but I'll tell you what - if it was Keir Starmer rather than Rishi Sunak stood there - EVERYONE WOULD HAVE SEEN IT.

Penny Mourdant deserves respect for saying Sunak was wrong for not doing his duty on the 80th anniversary of D Day.  Much better than praising Sunak for apologising.

I agree, I expected her to make a feeble excuse for Sunak but she didn’t.

Didn't see it....Mind you, if it'd been Starmer, it'd be front page news!

She must've seem his itinerary  for the day.

(Even as a Tory & someone who thinks Sunak has done a decent job both as Chancellor & PM in the exceptional circumstances of the last few years).

Let's face it.  It was a stupid decision for Sunak to leave Normandy.  He should have cleared his diary from last Wednesday until this coming Monday to cover the D-day event & given himself a bit of time to concentrate on the GE as well.

But then again, he'd have probably been slated by Susanah Reid & Mr Yvette Cooper, (Ed Balls) for refusing to speak to them on Friday morning or hiding from the electorate, if he did.

There's a thing.  Since the GE was announced, I've seen Susanah Reid ask Ed Balls about Yvette Cooper.

Shouldn't he be dropped from Good Morning Britain until after the election?

Rayner mumbled "scum" under her breath about Tories in Parliament. She apologised

Sunak walked away from D Day celebrations to have a political interview. He apologised.

Johnson used people's characteristics, such as their race, sexuality, and class to insult, humiliate, and smear them. He didn't apologise.

All different.

Thought so .

Desperate to get rid of this band of incompetent, morally indefensible sleazebags, yes.

But I suspect that's not what you meant

So desperate in what way?
