but again, ill reiterate, Bercows not there, hasnt been for a while now, theres absolutely no point.

He made a good point.  The speaker should be neutral and he was praising the current speaker for being neutral. Bercow wasn't neutral and besmirched the role as speaker.  Will you complain if former Conservative MPs are criticised by current MPs?

The last thing our country needs is another referendum to divide the country again.  The main political parties have now accepted the referendum result including the current governing party.  The British public are looking forward to stability and giving the new government a chance to deliver their pledges in this post Brexit era.

Farage is very good at stirring things up. But less effective when it comes tro solving the problems he highlights / creates. In fact he's quite likely to just walk away.

But then that's probably true of many politicians. They know what needs to be done, and sometimes come up with a fairly bland, nebulous 'solution,' which means nothing. But when you drill down into it, the 'how?' is always missing.

I was quite impressed that Starmer kept Mrs Starmer out of the spotlight. Usually the spouse is wheeled out to support the campaign, particularly if they are attractive and seen as an assett. But Starmer didn't 'use' her, so well done him.

No doubt she will now have a higher profile and be scrutinised thanks to the media,  whether she likes it or not.

Maybe someone on here could talk about how rich she is . They did with Sunaks wife.

I do agree that the families of politicians should be kept out of the spotlight, as everyone is entitled to a private family life outside work.
The same is true of Starmer having family time on a Friday evening.

On the other hand, if there is a good reason to report on something, then that shouldn't provide a cover to hide anything.
I think the test should be "in the public interest" rather than " what the public find interesting"
I wonder how this one will pan out?

"oh, and the address they used is also used by the Reform Party no big deal if it's a virtual office type place but it's the address Rishi spelt wrong on Catamaran Ventures Ltd on Companies House, his wife's s**t investment firm that cost us a fortune when he was a Director and got his own date of birth wrong too...."

Farage has never been in government to solve the problems he highlights.  What problems has Farage created?  Farage won't have many opportunities to speak in parliament which is why when he does he will make it uncomfortable for the government and his comments will continue to make the news.  The person who made the headlines yesterday for the wrong reason was Corbyn who complained about having to take an oath of allegiance to the Crown.  If he didn't want to do what is expected of all MPs then he should have done what Sinn Fein do and not take up his seat.

He really is a silly old tool.  His supposed 'principles' not stopped him taking the pay packet out of it for the past several decades.

This was the old duffer who seriously expected to be an election-winning leader who would have been prime minister of her/his majesty's government.  The one expected to do weekly meetings with the monarch as part of the job.

What's an absolute prize winning bell. Seriously needs to be put out to pasture.
