That's a running joke that's been going on for decades.  Each exiting chancellor leaves the same note for the new guy.

I never knew that.

So they are human after all!!

When new Labour Ministers are given air time this is all they appear to refer to, how about telling us something about THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT?

Well they're just over 3 weeks in - what would you like them to talk about?

They've settled a pay dispute with the doctors in 3 weeks which THE PREVIOUS GOVERNMENT dragged on for well over a year. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the cost of keeping the pay dispute going was more money than the cost of settling the dispute.

So there you are you'll be able to get all your aches and pains seen to.

True though ,

There's never any money, that's the point.  You are just moving pieces around on a chess board deciding where to take and where to give.

The main point is to ensure growth, to keep the tax money coming in.

£37 billion for track & trace - where did that come from?

Who will be paying for that though?

My guess is the well off general public.

It's easy to make settlements when you are using someone else's Dosh.

It's everyone's dosh, even the saintly LAST GOVERNMENT used other people's dosh. It's not like Cameron, Boris and the rest of them dipped their hand in their own pocket to spread their largesse over the needy public. 🙄
