Why do they think that apologising for a mistake should draw a line under the mistake, Tory MP's saying Sunak apologised so that should be it.  Sunak said Frank Hester apologised about his comments regarding Diane Abbott so that should be the end of the matter, I suppose it has nothing to do with the millions of pounds he has donated to the Tory party.

The mistake can't be corrected because there is only one 80th anniversary of D-Day.  An apology is all Sunak can do.  He can't resign in the middle of an election campaign.

Not even apologising ether .

Hester apologised "for being rude", bit not for being racist, or for painting a target on the back of the woman who receives the most death threats out of all 650 MPs.

Sunak makes great virtue of being the first PM from an ethinic minority, but he doesn't mind seeing Abbott chucked under the bus to please his paymaster
